All donations are welcome. There are many sources from which the Phoenix Club can receive financial donations. Local societies and clubs having an internal collection. Past members including within their will a donation. The families of past members making an in memoriam donation. Associate members can donate under the Gift Aid scheme where the club can claim the tax already paid on the donation. Some of the larger organisation who make donations to the social and welfare sector do so after a significant level of justification by claimants and usually there is insufficient resource to satisfy all claimants. The effect is for applications for such grants to be for specific projects or expenses and for the grantee to require an audit of the actual expenditure.
